Claire Chick passed away last month in West Hoe. People want to honor her memory and plan a walk to share their memories of her.

The “Walk With Claire” is on Sunday, February 9, starting at Burrator Bridge around 11:30 AM. The walk covers three miles around the reservoir.

Organizers want people to remember Claire and encourage sharing fun stories, continuing her loving legacy. Come as wacky as you like, just like Claire, and bring your dog or cat if you want. Show love for her as she did for others.

The organizers want this walk to be memorable, so share the event with Claire’s friends and invite those who support Claire’s family to participate. Burrator reservoir is near Plymouth.

Earlier, people gathered at Smeaton’s Tower, lit green in Claire’s favorite colour. They held a candlelit vigil to remember her. People brought candles and flowers and placed them on a table with Claire’s photo.

Claire was 48, a mother, grandmother, and nurse who lectured and tutored at Plymouth University. She died from injuries after being found on West Hoe Road on January 22 and taken to Derriford Hospital.

Following an investigation, Paul Butler, 53, from Plymouth, was arrested and charged with murder. His trial is on July 14.
