Coventry: Many folks are back to school and work. That means traffic is picking up again. So, it’s good to know about the roadworks happening this week.

The city has a lot going on. There are footway reconstructions, cycleway installations, and even HS2 works. You might notice some changes on the M6 and M42 too.

Here’s a quick rundown of the roadworks in Coventry.

Oldfield Road will be closed from 7:30 am to 4 pm until January 24 for footway reconstruction. Harper Road is also closed during the same hours until February 7 for footway and kerbing works.

The Barley Lea is closed from 7:30 am to 4 pm until February 7 for footway reconstruction. Roman Road will be closed until February 14 for footway patching.

Queen Victoria Road has a footway closure and is narrowed from 7:30 am to 4 pm until February 7. Stivichall and Cheylesmore Bypass will be closed from 8 pm to 6 am until January 22 for resurfacing.

Whitley Interchange is also closed during those hours for the same reason. Kenilworth Road has 24-hour two-way lights until January 17 for a new pedestrian crossing.

Poole Road and Moseley Avenue will have four-way lights from 7:30 am to 4 pm for traffic safety and pedestrian refuge installations.

Station Avenue is closed from 9:30 am to 3:30 pm until January 22 for patching works. Lastly, Bennetts Road has three-way lights until February 14 for patching.
