A tornado has hit Cornwall, causing significant damage just before Storm Eowyn arrives. Residents are shaken but safe after the wild weather.
One local, Luke Feely, shared his experience. He said the tornado ripped the roof off his house in Quintrell Downs, near Newquay. Luke described it as terrifying.
He mentioned, “It came right through our estate. My roof is damaged, and my neighbors’ roofs are too.” The damage was extensive, with fences and trees scattered everywhere.
The Met Office had already issued a yellow wind warning for the area. This warning started early in the morning and is expected to last all day.
They warned that coastal areas might face rough seas and strong winds. The warning covers all of Cornwall, Plymouth, and parts of Devon and Somerset.
