Coventry: Police had a busy day tackling crime. They made several arrests during a crackdown across the city. Officers were out in areas like Earlsdon and Foleshill.

The North East SNT team arrested four people. One man was caught for shop thefts in Longford, Stoke, and Wyken. Three others were arrested for serious youth violence.

Patrols happened at popular shopping spots like Warwickshire Shopping Park and Airport Retail Park. Officers conducted 12 stop-and-searches and found a small amount of cannabis.

They also focused on vehicle crime hotspots. The WMP Traffic Unit helped recover a stolen Ford Focus in Earlsdon. Officers were also active on Foleshill Road and Stoney Stanton Road, reporting illegally parked vehicles.

A West Midlands Police spokesman shared that they had great results during Operation Chino. This operation is a monthly event focusing on different areas of Coventry.

This time, the North East SNT made significant arrests, including one for shop theft. They patrolled various shopping parks with both uniformed and plain-clothed officers.

The team also worked with Safer Travel to address parking violations on Stoney Stanton Road and Foleshill Road. Each month, they tackle high-priority issues in different parts of the city.
