A taxi driver in Truro is hailed a hero after intervening to protect homeless men from a group of teens, with his wife expressing pride in his actions.
Truro: A taxi driver is being praised for his quick actions to protect two homeless men. He drove towards a group of teens who were intimidating them. This happened on Boscawen Street around 5:40 PM on January 19.
Stephen Rowe, the driver, explained he was trying to disperse the crowd. He felt the teens were threatening the vulnerable men. Although it looked like he drove at them, he said he was just trying to stop safely nearby.
Rowe shouted at the teens to back off. He wanted them to leave the homeless men alone. He stated he would do it again if it meant stopping violence against others.
After the incident, he reported it to the police and returned to explain what happened. Many people on social media praised his bravery. One commenter said he was a hero for stepping in.
His wife, Natalie, also shared her pride in his actions. She emphasized how important it was to prevent another violent situation against homeless individuals in Truro.
