Carnon Downs: A shed fire broke out this evening, leaving many residents without power. The fire started around 7 PM and quickly spread to a nearby garage.

Fire crews from Truro and Falmouth arrived on the scene. They worked hard to put out the flames. Unfortunately, the fire damaged electrical wires, affecting power in the area.

According to the National Grid, 112 homes lost power. As of 9:45 PM, two homes still had no electricity. Engineers are on-site working to restore power.

Cornwall Fire and Rescue Service reported that firefighters used breathing apparatus and hoses to tackle the fire. They confirmed the fire spread from the shed to the garage.

National Grid expects to restore power to the remaining homes by 11 PM. The outage impacted residents in Forth Coth and Carnon Crescent.
