The police quickly stepped in to clear things up. They confirmed that officers were called to the scene on Sunday. After looking into it, they found no evidence of any wrongdoing by the woman involved.
Some posts about the incident have been taken down. A parent had claimed that CCTV showed the woman trying to kidnap their child, but the police said that’s not true.
A spokesperson from Devon and Cornwall Police stated they responded to reports of a suspicious incident at around 4:35 PM. They reassured everyone that no evidence of any crime was found.
