Coventry: A new snow map shows an Arctic freeze is coming. The city is bracing for some seriously cold weather. They say we might see up to seven centimeters of snow per hour. Yikes! Temperatures could drop to -3C.

The cold blast is expected this weekend, around January 25 and 26. While Coventry and Warwickshire will feel the chill, it looks like we won’t get much snow here. Central Scotland is set to take the brunt of it.

Still, we can expect some frosty nights ahead. The local Met Office has warned us about the cold. So, if you’re in Coventry, bundle up!

Temperatures will start to dip this weekend. As we move into next week, expect even colder nights. Daytime temps should be closer to what we usually see this time of year, though.

Today, it’s bright but cold. There’s some patchy frost in rural areas. It’ll be cloudy elsewhere, with a chance of drizzle on higher ground. Light winds will make it feel even chillier, with a max temp of 4C.

Tonight, it’ll be settled but cold. Most places will be under low cloud, but a few spots might clear up a bit. That could lead to some patchy fog and frost, with a minimum temp of -1C.

On Sunday, expect a chilly morning. The clouds will roll in, making for a grey day. Hill fog and drizzle might linger, with a max temp again around 4C.

Looking ahead to Monday through Wednesday, it should be mainly settled. We might see some light rain and drizzle, but there will be drier, brighter moments too. Just remember, those cold and frosty nights are sticking around!
