Coventry: The Met Office has announced that bitter winds, similar to the ‘Beast from the East,’ are coming to the UK soon. They expect wintry showers to start in just a few days.

These easterly winds are typical for this time of year. They should begin arriving by Friday, February 7. Meteorologist Aidan mentioned that while it will be cold, it won’t be as severe as the Beast from the East in 2018.

However, he did warn that snow could still be on the way. If the cold weather continues into next week, there’s a chance of even colder air and wintry conditions.

The Met Office also noted that Coventry and Warwickshire will start feeling the chill on Thursday, February 6. Expect frosty mornings and possibly freezing fog patches.

This weekend, with the easterly winds, it might feel as cold as -3°C in our area. Stay warm and be prepared for the wintry weather ahead!
