These winds are expected to arrive on Friday, January 24. The Met Office says this could be the strongest winds we’ve seen this winter. They shared this update on their X account.
They warned that a powerful jet stream will form over the North Atlantic. This means we should prepare for some wild weather. Wet and windy conditions are likely by Friday.
The Met Office isn’t the only one sounding the alarm. BBC weather also mentioned a potentially stormy spell coming our way. They predict disruptive winds and rain.
