Coventry: Storm Éowyn is on its way, and it could bring some snow. The Met Office is warning us about strong winds, reaching up to 80mph. That’s pretty wild, right?

This storm is expected to hit this Friday. While some areas might see snow, Coventry and Warwickshire will just get strong winds. It’s a bit of a mixed bag.

The Met Office mentioned that Northern Ireland, northern England, and Scotland might see some snow. But the wind is the real concern for most of us.

There’s a yellow wind warning in place for almost 24 hours. This means we could face disruptions on the roads and with public transport. So, keep that in mind if you’re heading out.

The RAC is also sounding the alarm. They say the high winds could lead to falling trees and debris. Alice Simpson from RAC Breakdown said driving will be tricky, especially in the west of England and Scotland.

She advised drivers to be cautious of sudden gusts, especially near the coast. High-sided vehicles are at risk, but even cars can be affected. It’s best to drive slowly and keep a firm grip on the wheel. Stay safe out there!
