Coventry: The Met Office has put out a yellow wind warning for nearly 24 hours. This alert is set for Friday, covering Coventry and Warwickshire.

Storm Éowyn is on its way, and it’s expected to bring some wild weather. Winds could hit 80mph along the coast, while Coventry might see gusts of 49mph by 6am Friday.

Mike Silverstone, the Deputy Chief Meteorologist, mentioned that this storm could cause some serious disruptions. The strongest winds will likely be felt in Northern Ireland and parts of northern England.

Heavy rain is also expected, making the end of the week pretty unpleasant. The Met Office issued this warning early, so it’s a good idea to keep an eye on updates as the storm approaches.

Starting Thursday, the weather will shift as heavy rain moves in from the west. Some areas in Scotland, England, and Wales could see 20-30mm of rain, with snow possible in the higher grounds of northern regions.
