Coventry police made several arrests, including a known offender, while seizing vehicles to tackle local crime issues.
The Hillfields and St Michaels teams focused on anti-social behavior and shoplifting. They spotted the suspect taking items from a shop in the city center.
In another incident, the North West Coventry team seized an Audi. The car had no valid tax or insurance. The driver was also reported for not having a license.
They didn’t stop there. Another car, a BMW, was also taken. Its driver was found without tax or insurance. The South Coventry team teamed up with a gang unit for two raids.
They hit addresses on Owens Road and Tremelay Drive. At both places, they discovered evidence of cannabis growing. They even found an imitation firearm, leading to two arrests.
After all this, the police expressed a desire to do more. They’re asking locals for help. They want to tackle issues that matter to Coventry residents.
The police said, “We need your information to plan our patrols. The more tips we get, the more we can act. Reach out via 101 or Live Chat, and always call 999 in emergencies.”
