Coventry: A family is holding onto hope for justice. They lost their son, Keaton Slater, in a hit-and-run. He was just 12 years old when a speeding BMW struck him.

Keaton was walking home from school when the tragedy happened. His parents, Louise and Clint, have been fighting for justice since last June. Sadly, the driver remains at large.

West Midlands Police named Dolars Aleksanders as the prime suspect. However, he’s believed to have fled to Latvia. The family has started a petition for his extradition, which has gained over 69,000 signatures.

Clint shared their frustration, saying they’ve been told there’s enough evidence against Aleksanders. But the extradition process is complicated due to legal red tape.

Louise and Clint are meeting with the Crown Prosecution Service soon. They’re hopeful that things might change for the better. They just want justice for their son, Keaton.

West Midlands Police assured them that the investigation is ongoing. They are committed to finding the suspect and bringing him to justice. The family continues to hold hope in their hearts.
