Coventry is gearing up for a new 10K run this spring, part of the Coventry Running Festival, with a fun route and great goodies for participants
Mark your calendars for Sunday, April 27. The half marathon kicks off at 9 am, and the 10K follows at 9:30 am. Both races start on Gosford Street and wind through the city, finishing at the stunning Coventry Cathedral.
The route is pretty cool. Runners will pass by attractions like The Wave Waterpark and Moseley Avenue Park. Organizers designed it so spectators can cheer on runners at various spots along the way.
They want everyone to join in, no matter your skill level. Whether you jog, run, or walk, the Coventry 10K is a great chance to enjoy the race day vibe while tackling a shorter distance than the half marathon.
Plus, participants will get a goodie bag, some tasty treats after the run, and a special medal. Runners can also raise money for personal causes or support one of the event’s partner charities. The goal is to keep the funds local and help those in need.
Tristan Batley-Kyle, the Operations Director at Run For All, shared that they aim to include as many people as possible. The 10K is a fantastic way for everyone to get involved.
Finishing outside Coventry Cathedral is a real treat. It creates a great atmosphere with lots of supporters cheering you on. There will also be an Event Village where runners can catch up with family and friends.
If you’re a Coventry resident, you can snag a £5 discount on entry for the 10K or Half Marathon. This offer is live now, so check out the Go CV website to claim it. For more details or to sign up, head over to the Run For All website.
