Cornwall is offering free Beryl bike rides for a week. Grab your chance to explore the area sustainably and enjoy the fresh air!
Penzance: You can ride Beryl Bikes for free in Cornwall! For one week, enjoy a free 15-minute ride every day. This offer is from January 13 to January 19, 2025.
The free rides are available in Penzance, Penryn, Truro, and Newquay. It’s a great way to encourage more folks to use eco-friendly transport. Just remember, it’s one free ride per person each day.
Kate Palmer from Beryl said these e-bikes are perfect for Cornwall’s hills. They make longer rides easier and help you arrive fresh at work. Plus, you’re helping the environment by reducing traffic and improving air quality.
Since launching in Falmouth in September 2022, Beryl Bikes have been a hit. They’ve had nearly 275,000 rides, covering almost 700,000 km. That’s like going around the Earth 17 times! Many riders have swapped their cars for bikes, cutting down on carbon emissions.
You can pay for rides in different ways. If you ride occasionally, the Pay As You Ride option is great. It costs £1 to unlock and 15p per minute. Regular riders can buy Minute Bundles to save money.
