Camborne: A young man named Harley Judd, just 24, faced a tough battle with anxiety and depression. He was loved by many and worked hard. Sadly, he took his own life after reaching out for help.

Harley grew up in Sancreed and later moved to Hayle. His family adored him, and he was a cherished son, brother, and partner. Despite his love for them, he struggled to find his path in life.

At an inquest, it was revealed how popular he was at work. Many of his Tesco colleagues wanted to attend his funeral, showing just how much he was loved. His mother shared that he had faced mental health challenges since he was 14.

On April 15, 2024, witnesses saw Harley in a dog walking area. One person noticed him sitting and smoking but thought nothing was wrong. When they returned, an ambulance was called.

Another witness recalled her dogs approaching him. He didn’t respond much, just said, “It’s alright, it doesn’t matter now anyway.” That was the last time anyone saw him alive.

Harley had been in touch with his GP and was receiving treatment. He had reached out for help just a day before his tragic decision. A note found later showed his love for his family and his struggles.

His funeral notice described him as a beloved son, brother, and friend. The coroner recorded a conclusion of suicide, leaving a community in mourning.
