Coventry: Locals are really upset. They went without water for over 24 hours. A burst pipe on Lythalls Lane caused the trouble, affecting 71 homes.

One resident said they lost water at 5:39 AM yesterday. Many are still dry today. They’ve been trying to get info from Severn Trent, but it’s been tough.

It took 16 hours for the company to deliver just 12 bottles of water. People are frustrated with the lack of updates. No texts or emails to keep them informed.

CoventryLive reached out to Severn Trent for answers. A spokesperson apologized for the inconvenience. They said repairs are complex but hope to restore water soon.

The spokesperson explained that they had to dig up part of the road to fix the pipe. They assured residents that they were working hard to get everything back to normal. Temporary traffic lights are up to keep everyone safe while they work.
