Ofsted school inspections in Coventry shift to report cards in 2025, providing detailed grades on teaching, behavior, leadership, and student development.
This September, school ratings are changing. Schools will no longer get “inadequate” or “outstanding.” The new system considers local factors impacting schools. This includes how they support students facing challenges.
Instead of a single rating, schools get grades. Inspectors still check the same areas as before. This includes teaching quality and student development. They also assess behavior, attendance, and leadership. Each area gets one of five grades.
Schools receive grades like “attention needed” or “causing concern.” “Secure,” “strong,” and “exemplary” are also possible. The report card shows if a school meets safeguarding duties. More details are on the Ofsted website.
Many schools still have older, single-word ratings. Some reports say Ofsted stopped overall judgements in 2024. These schools have grades in different areas, meaning their overall performance falls between two categories.
Here are some Coventry schools inspected in 2025: Stretton Church of England Academy had its report on January 20, as did Kingsbury Academy. Wyken Croft Primary School’s report is from January 17.
Buzy Bee Nursery’s latest report is from January 15. Wishing Well Day Care Nursery was inspected January 9. Bright Kids Bell Green had its report on January 2.
