Coventry: A popular café, Ebo Café, just got a one-star hygiene rating. The Food Standards Agency found that it needs to make major improvements.

Located on Cambridge Street, Ebo Café has a solid 4.6-star rating on Google. Customers love the food, but hygiene practices fell short during a recent inspection by Coventry City Council.

Inspectors check many businesses each year, looking at hygiene, food safety management, and handling. They also consider cleanliness and pest control.

In November, inspectors visited Ebo Café and found hygiene measures were not up to standard. They told the café owners to make significant changes.

The council noted that the café needed to improve food safety management and hygienic food handling. They also pointed out issues with cooking, reheating, cooling, and food storage.

Cleanliness was another concern, with the café needing improvements in its facilities and overall condition. CoventryLive has reached out to Ebo Café for comments.
