Truro: Cornwall Council is working on a plan to help young people without homes. They want to set up ten modular homes near the Waitrose store. This is for those aged 18 to 25 who need support.

The idea is to create a safe space for young adults transitioning from care. These homes will be like the pods seen in other parts of Cornwall. There will also be a hub for residents and a management office.

Kendall Kingscott is in charge of the planning application. They’ve made sure the new layout feels welcoming and fits well with the area. The goal is to reduce homelessness, following the Government’s directive.

The site is conveniently located near public transport and a large car park. This makes it easier for residents to get around. If you want to know more, check out application PA24/09104.
