Cornwall: A new survey reveals that many residents are unhappy with Cornwall Council. Trust in the council is still above average, but satisfaction has dropped.

Support for the fire and rescue service also took a hit, dropping by 10%. People feel the council isn’t as efficient as before, with a 4% decline in that area.

Interestingly, the council’s efforts to “stand up for Cornwall” saw a 6% increase. But overall, many residents feel their concerns aren’t being addressed.

Cleanliness of public spaces is another area of concern, with satisfaction down from 75% to 70%. Waste collection and recycling also saw declines.

Even library services took a hit, dropping from 48% to 40%. The spokesperson for the council pointed to financial issues as a major factor in these results.

They noted that while trust remains high, the financial situation is affecting service quality. The council is committed to improving based on this feedback.

Residents are encouraged to share their thoughts, as the council aims to enhance services and address community needs.
