The Children’s Mile is back on June 22 at War Memorial Park, inviting local students to jog, walk, or run a mile in a fun, inclusive environment.
Coventry: The Children’s Mile is happening this summer at War Memorial Park. It’s set for Sunday, June 22. This event encourages local school kids to get active outdoors.
The mile route is open to students, teachers, and staff from schools in Coventry. Participants can jog, walk, or run at their own pace. Thousands of students are expected to join in the fun.
Every participant will get a special T-shirt and a certificate. The event promotes healthy habits and highlights the beauty of Coventry’s parks.
Councillor Kamran Caan shared his excitement about the event. He said it’s a great chance for young people to be active and enjoy the park. He hopes many schools will join in this year.
Organizers Danny Kingham and Stuart Davoile are also thrilled. They want more schools than ever to participate. They encourage students, staff, and parents to come out and support the kids.
Registration details will be available after February half-term. For more info, check out the Coventry Children’s Mile Facebook page or their Instagram @covsport.
