Liskeard: There was a serious crash on the A38 today. It involved a motorbike and a cyclist. The road is closed eastbound near Liskeard.

Emergency services are on the scene, working hard to manage the situation. One person is injured, but we don’t know how serious it is yet.

Drivers are being told to avoid the area if they can. National Highways has set up diversions. If you’re heading east, follow the signs for the solid square diversion.

You’ll need to exit the A38 and take the A390 through Merrymeet and St Ives to Callington. Then, at the roundabout, take the third exit onto the A388 to Carkeel. Finally, you can rejoin the A38.

The police are also on site, and they expect the road to stay closed for a while. So, if you’re out and about, plan for extra travel time. Stay safe out there!
