Message From The Committee
A big thank you to all the volunteers who turned out in the strong winds on Saturday to tidy up the Park. We collected over 20 sacks of rubbish and tidied up quite a bit of the main path from brambles.
On Thursday 20th February FORP will meet in the Pavilion from 6pm. We have invited Richard Dewsbury from Parks and Countryside department of Shefield City Council and John Gilpin who is a Park Ranger to join us and discuss the plans we have for the future. At the meeting we hope also to set dates and times for monthly meetings and volunteer sessions for the year.
Please join us for the evening to hear what they have to say and add your views. This meeting is open to anyone in the community we serve, but only those who have signed up as members may take part if there is a vote during a meeting.
If you are unable to come, but would like your views/questions on Richmond Park shared at the meeting, please let me know and I will ensure they are passed on to the meeting. If you are unable to come to events because of the timing and would us to consider holding meetings at another time or day, we would also like to take that into consideration.
If you are not sure if you have filled in a membership form recently and would like to do so, they will be available at the meeting, at craft group on Tuesdaymornings or at the tea and chat on Friday afternoons. Alternatively if you are receiving emails about FORP and wish to stop, please let me know.
Thank you for your support,Kind regards,Frances Ireson, FORP secretary
